Guruji's words

Guruji:

Ego breaks down if
1. We understand the nature of senses,
2. The need to let go of our attachment to senses,
3. Train ourselves to work free of filters and limitations,
4. And finally let go of sense limits by suspending judgments.

All these are the objects of Goddess worship, and Tantra of Lalitha

How this shows up in Kaula practice

In Kaula practice the senses are not enemies. They are used in worship, and they are also what we learn to see clearly and hold lightly.

Guruji's steps move from knowing the senses, to loosening attachment, to working without filters, to pausing judgment. Each step is a way of watching the mind in daily life.

Guruji says these are the objects of Goddess worship and the Tantra of Lalitha. He attained mahasamadhi in October 2015, and Guru Amma Annapurnamba guides the lineage today. This site is an independent practitioner's space and does not speak on behalf of Devipuram.

Common questions

When does ego break down, according to Guruji?

Guruji says it breaks down when we understand the nature of the senses, let go of attachment to them, train to work free of filters and limitations, and suspend judgments.

What does it mean to let go of attachment to the senses?

Guruji lists it as the second step. The text does not say more, so read it as releasing our grip on what the senses pull us toward.

What does Guruji mean by suspending judgments?

He names it as the way to let go of sense limits. Judgments are filters, so pausing them removes a limit.

How is this connected to Goddess worship?

Guruji ends by saying all these are the objects of Goddess worship, and Tantra of Lalitha.
