Guruji's teachings
A 2006 Gurupournami message. Guruji tells of his visions, then shares an article he edited on living in harmony with others.
From the teachings of Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati (Guruji). Post title: "For Gurupournami 2006: Key of Love in the Tune of Harmony". Message of 2006, posted on Guruji's blog by Vira Chandra on 26 April 2016. Originally published at amritananda-natha-saraswati.blogspot.com. The article he shares was found online and edited by him, and its author is not named.
(2006)
Guruji: I used to have visions of Goddess Lakshmi as miles and miles of silk sarees, passing over a fold. Some unknown light shone on the fold. Small strings of gold and silver would catch the light, glowed with all colours for fractions of a second, and new sets would keep doing the same. It was a fascinating sight! I wondered often, what is it? Was it a demo of a string theory of the universe which physicists talk about? Or, is this connected to what Sant Kabir used to talk about? Was I Kabir? I used to hear lovely Saraswati play on Veena for hours in meditations. Physical time, a few minutes. How can time dilatation happen with me travelling at earth speeds? Was I Brahma? I would listen enchanted. Why was I blessed to hear those wonderful musical extravaganzas and not blessed to be able to reproduce them for everyone’s benefit?
I used to play with great abandon so many lovely damsels, one called Hladini; me also being one of them? Was I Bala? Why can't I show them to the world, even if they didn't wear any clothes? Out of this desire came Devipuram as it exists today. And now, Manidweepam. What am I supposed to do with that? I am not the only one getting those visions. Lots of people, in fact.
All these things happened when I was just sitting, just being loved by Goddess in the ways described above.
Recently I came across this article on the internet. Liked it a lot. I edited it somewhat. It happened in Toronto. Thought it had something to do with my experiences. Maybe it has some relevance for you too. With that hope, I will tell you about…
(here edited by Guruji article begins)
Guruji, 2006, "For Gurupournami 2006: Key of Love in the Tune of Harmony", as posted on Guruji's blog by Vira Chandra on 26 April 2016. The text is kept as in the original. Three photographs on the original post are not copied here.
After his own words, Guruji shares an article he found on the internet and edited. He says it happened in Toronto and may have something to do with his experiences. The article does not name its author in the post. It is a long text, so this page gives a short summary and one line. The full article is on Guruji's blog.
The article says people do not create their lives alone. It calls this co-creation with God, and describes a Cosmic Lattice, a web of strings joined to strings, like a stringed instrument. It says not to look for one string with your name on it. Instead, listen to the tune that is playing and find a note that harmonizes with it. The article puts it this way:
Co-creation is spiritual resonance.
Then comes the Parable of Wo. Wo makes three pieces on his own, for his life's purpose, his abundance and his work. They bring no change, and he is let go from his job. An angel gives him glasses to see how his pieces sit in the Lattice. He learns that a piece has to fit with the pieces of others. The article ends with a call for peace, hope, and to love those who disagree and sing with the choir.

Guruji says his visions came while he was only sitting and being loved by the Goddess. This points to the Kaula idea that the Goddess is met through direct experience, not through effort alone.
He also links his visions to a wish to share, and Devipuram came out of that wish. The Kaula path is not only private. Worship, the temple and the yantra can be ways to share what is felt inside.
The article's call to harmonize with others is close to the Kaula view that the Divine is in every person. A teaching like this one asks you to listen to the whole, and to find your note in it.
Guruji describes visions of Goddess Lakshmi as miles of silk sarees with strings of gold and silver catching light. He also describes hearing Saraswati play the Veena for hours in meditation, while only a few minutes passed in physical time.
Guruji says he wondered why he could not show the lovely visions to the world. He says that out of this desire came Devipuram as it exists today, and now Manidweepam.
The article says it is changing human reality together with the Spirit that lives within. It adds that co-creation is spiritual resonance, which means harmonizing with the world around you, not matching it.
The article describes it as a vast web of energy where everything is joined to everything. It compares it to a stringed instrument of Spirit. Its strings make harmony, and that harmony creates new strings such as job, abundance and peaceful purpose.
Wo is an everyday person, like the reader, who is trying to bring about his life's purpose, abundance and work. The story shows that his pieces only work when they fit with others.
